      Lowell Rosenbaum

      ALBION -- Lowell Dean Rosenbaum, 70, of Albion died Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

      Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. The Rev. Brian Bergum will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Albion with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 162 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 736 of Albion.

      Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.

      Mr. Rosenbaum was born on April 1, 1928, at Cedar Rapids. He attended Pinnacle Hill School and graduated from Albion High School in 1946.

      He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He was stationed in Germany.

      He married Doris Roberg on Sept. 7, 1959, at Albion. They lived in Albion and farmed in the Plum Creek area east of Cedar Rapids. They sold out in 1984, and he then worked as greenskeeper at the Albion Country Club.

      He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the Rae Valley Heritage Association of Petersburg.

      Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert of Omaha and David of Plymouth; one daughter, Linda Pearson of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Dale of Albion; and one sister, Joyce (Mrs. Bob) Schrad of Albion.

      He was preceded in death by one brother, Ivan.
