Montgomery-Hoffmann Genealogy

Rita Blanche Walker

I’ve been researching my Montgomery and Hoffmann branches in earnest for over twenty years and have been fascinated by the subject for even longer. Genealogy is about making connections – to the past, to family members living today, as well as to future generations. In that vein I’m happy to share the information I’ve gathered over the years, and would love to hear from you if you find we have a connection – or if you have any updates you’d like to add!

My paternal side of the family has connections to some of the earliest New England settlers; many were part of the westward migration of the Seventh Day Baptist Church. More recent paternal connections came from Norway in the 19th century. Most of my maternal ancestors were part of similar 19th-century migrations, hailing from France, Germany, and Switzerland.

This site includes a database of my genealogical information, a blog with more details about family history discoveries, and links to family documents, letters, and other primary sources. Enjoy!
