Notes |
- Cassius moved his family to Ohio in 1837 except for Samuel who stayed for a while with his grandparents who were John and Sarah. Letter from a member of Rapid City Society for Genealogical Research, Inc. (I believe that the name is Mary) because Mary Wheeler is the mother of Cassius Willson not Sarah and they got confused with another John and Sarah. Samuel the son stayed with his grandparents a short time. [DAJ]

Hi Megan,
These WILSON or WILLSON soldiers served from VT in the Rev. War from 1775-1783:
David, Ebenezer, Isaac, James, John, Joseph, Lucas, Michael, Nathaniel, Noah, Peter, Samuel, Squire or Esquire, Thomas, Walter, and William.
They were not my ancestors; sorry, I do not know if any of these Vermont soldiers were your ancestors.
