Jeannette S. Kilgus
PAXTON - Jeannette S. Kilgus, 74, of Crystal Lake, passed away on Monda
y (June 4, 2007) at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. She was born o
Dec. 18, 1932, in Paxton, and was the daughter of Ollie and Grace Str
ode.
Survivors include her husband, Richard, whom she married on Oct. 18, 19
53; her children, Teri (Jay) Leman of Crystal Lake; Kevin (Denise) Kilg
us of Strawn; and Tim (Patty) Kilgus of Genoa; Also surviving are 14 gr
andchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, George (Virgin
ia) Strode of Sun City, Ariz.; Lyle (Dona) Strode of Lakeville, Mass.; a
d Darrell (Blanca) Strode of Houston, Texas; one sister, Carnell Brumi
tt of Osseo, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin boys, Mark and Clark, in i
fancy; and her sister, Christine Ward.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Elgin. She enjoye
d spending time with her family and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Apostolic Christian C
hurch, 2740 W. Highland Ave., Elgin, IL 60124. Burial will follow in th
e church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the L
aird Funeral Home in Elgin and from 9 a.m. until the time of services F
iday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Les Turner ALS Founda
